About the client
 

Our client is an end-user company specializing in staff services in Japan. Their goal was to develop and maintain the micro-service system within their system cluster.

*Client’s Requirements:

– Working with the Agile management model, which demands significant flexibility and proactivity from both parties.

– Ensuring that all commitments within each sprint are met.

 
Overview
 

Our project was to develop an e-commerce website for the sale of medicines and pharmaceuticals, meticulously designed to meet the unique needs of our customers.

 

Main function:

The project is an extensible platform with important functionalities, including product search, a seamless purchasing process, a secure payment gateway, and a complex web of batch processes and API integrations with external systems.

This ecosystem ensures that we can retrieve essential customer and order information, facilitating a seamless customer experience.

 

Duration:

– Development phase: Sprint for six months from November 2021 to April 2022.

– Maintenance phase: Continuous commitment lasting 15 months, starting in May 2022 and continuing until now. The project is in a constant state of development, with continuous improvements and optimizations.

Project phases: Implementation (PG) and Unit Testing (UT).

Offshore personnel: 15 people

Challenges
 

01. Regulatory Compliance: The pharmaceutical industry is highly regulated and ensuring that our e-commerce platform complies with all relevant laws and regulations is a constant challenge. This includes data privacy, medicine licensing, and other industry-specific requirements.

02. Integration Complexity: The project includes multiple batch processes and API integrations with external systems. Coordinating these integration activities, ensuring data consistency, and minimizing potential points of failure requires meticulous planning and execution.
